persianpainting.net is devoted to the collection and dissemination of information, visual and otherwise, about historical Persian painting of Greater Iran.

We are attempting to virtually "reassemble" the complete works of individual painters, one artist at a time. This means not only locating and illustrating as many works of an artist as possible, but often "reassembling" dispersed manuscripts as well.

This is an enormous task only made possible by the computer and internet. To date we only have the first artist, moʿin moṣavver, about half way finished. This is an ongoing task and additional works and artists will be posted whenever meaningful amounts of information can be posted.
